Nienaber names Rugby Champs training squad
Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber named a Castle Lager Rugby Championship training squad of 40 players – which features a handful of overseas based players – for their next assignment, a three-week training camp in Pretoria from Sunday until Thursday, 29 June.
Big clash in Cape Town as First Division kicks off
All eyes will be on Cape Town on Saturday when DHL Western Province host the Bulls Daisies in the sixth round of the SA Rugby Women’s Premier Division with a big contingent of current Springbok Women’s players in action at City Park in Athlone, while the First Division kicks off with matches in Potchefstroom, Welkom, Kimberley and George.

The Valke and SWD Eagles will host the two semi-finals in the Mzansi Challenge on Saturday after they clinched the top two spots on the log following the completion of the league phase of the competition.
Daisies go top as Border stun WP in Mdantsane
The Bulls Daisies moved to the top of the SA Rugby Women’s Premier Division standings for the first time after five rounds and are now the only undefeated side in the competition courtesy of a 36-8 win over Boland Dames in Pretoria on Saturday, after DHL Western Province lost in the Eastern Cape.
