Alain Hueber, the 43-year-old former French scrumhalf and current coach of Toulon, is to appear before a disciplinary committee of the Ligue Nationale de Rugby, the body which controls professional rugby in France.
Hueber has been accused of improper conduct in the match between Toulon and Racing which Racing won in Toulon.
The citing arises from a report by the 4th and 5th official who are concerned with what happens on the sideline.
The match was refereed by Jérôme Garces. The 4th and 5th officials were Eric Lavit and Frédéric Masse.
Hueber will appear before the committee on 25 September.
Hueber won 23 caps for France as a scrumhalf between 1990 and 200, including three matches at the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa when Fabien Galthié was France's first-choice scrumhalf.
