The South African Women's Tournament happens in August and the referees will be women. The European Sevens Championship happened in Moscow last weekend and the referees were women.

The European Sevens Championship in Moscow was won by Spain who beat Italy 31-13 in the Final, which was refereed by Sherry Trumbull.

The referees at the European Women's Sevens Championship were Katharina Pickert (Denmark), Sylvie Bros (France), Sherry Trumbull (Canada), Joyce Henry (Canada), and Barbera Guastini (Italy).

The referees for the  Women's Tournament in Polokwane in the second week of August are: Roslyn Fortuin (Boland), Magda van den Heever (Pumas), Hencilla Hoffman (South Western Districts), Eugenia Daniels (Western Province), Ilana Scholtz (Golden Lions), Sanet Ludick (Leopards)

Keith Hendriks is there to assess them and Eugene de Villiers to coach them. The administrator is Aletta Coetzee and the manager Dana Eitzen.
