Three South African referees and an assessor are heading for Kenya for the annual Safari Sevens in Nairobi.
The South African officials are Jason Jaftha (pictured, right ) of South Western Districts and the two from KwaZulu-Natal, Stuart Berry and Sindile Mayende. Pierre Oelofse is going to assess referees.
Berry is just back from the last round of the IRB Sevens in which he refereed the final in Edinburgh between Samoa and Australia.
The tournament was started in 1996 and was known as the Tusker Sevens.
A change of sponsor has changed the name - the Safaricom Sevens.
Some national teams take part - including the hosts Kenya, who have done so well on the IRB's Sevens circuit. Last year they beat the Emerging Springboks in the final.
