Clip 3 - 25 August

Watch the line Richie McCaw runs.

François Hougaard of South Africa gets the ball from a tackle/ruck and hoists a high kick. On his left Bryan Habana starts to give chase.

But watch Richie McCaw. He starts striding back towards Cory Jane who is in position to catch the ball.

Obstruction? No.

He is not in front of a player of his own side who last played the ball.
He does not run off his line to block Habana.

McCaw runs straight back as he is entitled to do. That he makes it harder for Habana to get to Jane is not an offence.

Just back from that absorbing Test in Christchurch two weeks ago, Jonathan Kaplan answers some questions pertaining to the match.
