The referee's delight.
Advantage is what delights a referee most, and this is a wonderful example of the potential there is in playing advantage. It does not always come off but when it does, what delight!
The Chiefs have a scrum and go left where Stephen Donald passes towards Sitiveni Sivivatu but under pressure the handling breaks down and Sivivatu knocks on. Having knocked he gives an annoyed kick at the ball.
At this stage many a referee would have blown to stop play, but not in this case.
The flykick is not a good one and the ball flies towards the Reds' line but diagonally infield. Daniel Braid picks up and starts running, giving to Morgan Turinui who gives to Brando Va'aulu.
That was excellent advantage to the Reds.
This is an example of what is initially tactical advantage. Eventually it becomes territorial advantage. The Reds had a great chance to play without pressure, and they take it.
