Five SA Referees to be Tested in Africa

Rugby Africa has released the fixtures and the match officials for its Gold Cup matches.

The Gold Cup is a new competition and doubles as a World Cup 2019 qualifiers.

The referees in the 15 matches are either from France or South Africa.

Five South African referees will be in action - Rasta Rasivhenge and Lesego Legoete and also three new Test referees - Egon Seconds, Quinton Immelman and Jaco van Heerden.

The Gold Cup starts this weekend with matches in Nairobi and Dakar and ends with its seventh round on 5 August in Kampala and Monastir.

There are two other South Africans involved - Neville Heilbron as the citing commissioner in two matches and Denver Wannies as the match commissioner in two other matches. They have been appointed to Namibia vs Senegal and Zimbabwe vs Kenya.
